Well, the last nine months seem to have gone by in the blink of an eye. We are now officially Utah residents again. We left for Utah on Wednesday, July 6 and made it home in 27 hours... I think that is a record of some sort. We were so excited and anxious to get home that we couldn't sleep, even when we stopped and tried. The Durango was SO full. Micah and Atlee were squished in the backseat but handled it like troopers, even when things kept falling and landing on them. It made for some good laughs.
The dogs laid in their kennel in the back (2 dogs, 1 kennel) and relaxed the whole way home, almost as if they knew where we were going and couldn't wait either. We had absolutely no car troubles the whole trip until we had dropped everything off and headed to my parent's house, then literally mid-sentence talking about how great the Durango was, we hear this "snap" and the back window decided to slide down the door. I guess the track no longer wanted to work. We couldn't have asked for better timing because it rained the whole trip home. If it had broken even a few hours sooner, we would have been in for a really long wet drive. Thank Heavens (literally) for the little blessings.
Since we have been back we have been gypsies wandering from one set of parent's homes to the others while we wait for our stuff to catch up to us. It should be here in the next couple of days and then we will be officially planted on Utah soil. As soon as we are in I will post some pictures.
It is strange to not have our MS friends to call and get together with every weekend. We don't have much of a social life without them.
Jake heads out for training on Sunday to Texas and the girls head back to their moms for a week... so the next week will be a long work week for me. I'm looking forward to some much needed time with my folks.
